Kingsman...a movie about fashion.
That was awful...
AWFULLY BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is gonna be a very short review, 'coz all I really want to say is that Kingsman was BLOODY, FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!!
Colin Firth brimming with class and suave.
A suave and stylish spy movie contrasted by the most electrifying and savage (and sometimes even groovy) fight sequences ever seen on film! And while on the surface it seems like they're parodying classic spy films, they're actually paying it an homage.
I don't care if the violence was gratuitous, it was INSANELY FUN!!!!!
From King's Speech, to Kingsman. Who'da thunk he could pull off some mind-blowing action??
For a guy whose acting credits only started in 2013, newcomer Taron Egerton is seriously talented!
Mark Strong like you've never seen him before!
Who wouldn't want a spy name of 'Lancelot'?
No matter what role he's in, he's still the Joker to me.
The story, the screenplay, the cast, the acting, the fight choreography, the wit and banter, the meta-ness, the cinematography...everything was perfect. That was one of the best 2 hours of my life.
MICMIC RATING: 10/10
Words to live by.
For anyone out there who wants to be a gentleman like the Kingsman, here are the gentlemanly standards to strive for (as seen on their official website):
A gentleman never tells about conquests, private matters, or dealings. His business is nobody else’s.
A gentleman doesn’t clash in public with enemies or exes, or worse, with out-of-fashion contrasts, colors or styles.
A gentleman is always happy to serve, whether it’s opening the door, picking up the bill, or merely calling a cab the next morning. Ask him for help and he cannot refuse.
A gentleman never reacts to rudeness. He pretends he doesn’t recognize it and moves on like it never happened, because it never should have.
A gentleman is always on target with witty remarks, interesting facts, and conversation starters that bring the best out of everyone.
A gentleman asks non-invasive questions to keep a conversation going and attention focused on others. He makes them feel like the most interesting person he’s ever met, whether that’s true or not.
