Dracula Don't Sparkle!

Sometimes the world doesn't need another hero, sometimes what it needs is a monster

NOT TOO SHABBY! NOT TOO SHABBY AT ALL.

Now I knew, before watching, that the world hated Dracula Untold (by world, I mean Rotten Tomatoes and IGN), so I probably had really low expectations, but still, I thought the twist on the lore was done well and I didn't really see anything hate-worthy.

Was Batman-ing before Batman-ing was famous.

Visually, it was stunning. The massive fight scene between Dracula and the Turks was INSANE. That open ended ending was bonkers.  The writing, the plot, all very consistent. And the lead, Luke Evans pulled it off like it was nobody's biznez. He has this Shakespearean quality to him and a natural intensity that makes for a really cool, contemporary incarnation of the classic character.

I wonder if they're going through with that rumored cinematic universe for iconic monsters. If they are, who else is partnering up with Dracula? Frankenstein? A mummy? Kapre? White Lady? And even more puzzling is, who the hell are they going up against??! The police? Normal humans? The Avengers? So many questions.

MICMIC RATING: 7.5/10

PS. HOW COOL WAS IT TO SEE TYWIN LANNISTER AS A VAMPIRE?!?!!
