Clint Eastwood’s new drama, American Sniper, is a well-received and critically-acclaimed movie. There was so much hype behind it that I was expecting nothing short of MIND-BLOWING. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

Hard Knock Life Alright

“The sun will come oooooout, tuh-morrow…”

LSS!

After a whole year of trailer screenings, Annie finally came out. And what I watched, while not being a BAD movie, did not live up to my expectations.

MIS-TAK3N

Taken-3-2015

First of all, I’d like to state for the record that I love Liam Neeson. No matter what he does, what kind of crappy movie he’s in, I’d still love him. If he was in a DIAPER commercial, I’d start buying and wearing diapers with no second thought. Liam Neeson brings gravitas to any character he plays, and that includes TAK3N’s Bryan Mills.

But unfortunately, his effortless performance notwithstanding, Taken 3 still had numerous faults that prevented it from becoming the return to form Taken movie that I was hoping for.

Aquaman and his Super Friends

Justice League Throne of Atlantis is DC's latest animated movie. And it's about Aquaman. The Justice League member that's almost never any kid's favorite. Because fish.

And while I enjoy how he is being written right now in the comics (and yeah, they made him super awesome), the movie doesn't help his rep much. It was very poorly written and never breaks away from the preconceived notions that make Aquaman so infamous.

The Batman Origin Story For Our Generation

Batman’s origin story has been told and retold dozens of times. Millionaire boy’s parents get murdered and boy swears vengeance against crime – we all know the gist of the story. So when a title like Batman "Zero Year" comes, I find it hard to be excited. I thought it was just another origin story...

I was so totally wrong. Yes it's about the Batman's origin, but more than that it was a Bruce Wayne story. His skills before wearing the mask, his birth pains, and ultimately, his maturity. A story that sees Bruce battered, vulnerable, human

Seventh Son Stupidity

Seventh Son is a totally generic fantasy movie that manages to be just a little bit WORSE than everybody else.

Time-Stopping Sex

No. This isn't a porn-related post.

You perv.

Anyways, it's about Sex Criminals, my latest book find! A book about a couple who can stop time every time they get an orgasm. The most titillating intriguing premise in comic book history!

For Bett's birthday last December, we decided to go on a food trip along Marikina's up and coming food street, Lilac Street!

Did YOU know Marikina had their own version of Teacher's Village's Maginhawa? Well I didn't! It's not yet as packed with restos as our Maginhawa (represent, yo!) but it still has some pretty awesome hole-in-a-wall food spots! And here were some of the places we visited!

Top 20 List of 2015 Movies I'm Most Excited About! P1

Top 20

Last year, I made a list of movies I was excited about in 2014. Out of the 20 I listed, I got around to watching 16. But with 2015 just around the corner, it's high time I list another 20 must-watch films for next year!

The countdown continues...

#10 Chappie (March 18, 2015)

From the same Director who made District 9 and Elysium comes Chappie, a futuristic sci-fi drama about a self-aware, artificially intelligent robot out to discover the world in all its glory and malevolence. Neill Blomkamp can handle his action and drama, but is most known for his biting social commentary. And with a powerhouse cast that includes Huge Jackman, Dev Patel, and Sharlito Copley, I expect this movie to leave a deep, lingering, philosophical footprint on my soul.

s&r

Having a list of the Top 20 Movies of 2015 wouldn’t have been fair for new movies because 2015 is a big sequel and reboot year, so I decided I’d list them separately. Here is my Top 10 List of 2015 Sequels and Reboots!

That Controversial Interview

Now Showing: On YouTube.

With all the CNN-level stories surrounding the Rogen-Franco movie, The Interview, it's hard not to get intrigued when Sony finally decided to put it out there. And after finally seeing it, I see why the North Koreans were outraged. It's one gigantically offensive, rude, distasteful, and derogatory SLAP on the country's face.
