After a whole year of trailer screenings, Annie finally came out. And what I watched, while not being a BAD movie, did not live up to my expectations.
+ Beautiful numbers from Annie
+ Jazzy modernized compositions+ Feel good family movie
+ Rose Byrne sings?!

- Over the top acting from Diaz
- Incredibly Cliché story. (Even for someone who never watched the original musical)
- OKAY performances from supporting cast
- Dull all over
This modern-day fairy tale was an unexceptional feel-good family movie. It's not without its moments but ultimately fails to do anything inventive with the classic title. After watching, you’ll end up singing that one song you know (Tomorrow), but it's not going to take long before you completely forget about this unnecessary reboot. Sorry Annie, it's still a hard knock life for you.
