Opa! Greeka Kouzina!

My first official blogger event :) Woohoo!!

Bett was invited to a bloggers’ lunch at Greeka Kouzina, and then she, in turn, invited me. It was my first time being around other (seasoned) bloggers. I felt I didn’t belong. Heck, I wasn’t even really supposed to be there. The whole time, I was worried my work wouldn't even compare to what the others there could make.

Absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do. But enjoyed nonetheless!

But two very lovely and lively girls (of The Plump Pinay) unintentionally helped me get comfortable in my own skin. They shared how they got started with blogging and it sort of felt like where I am now in MY blogging. They sort reminded me that there’s no right or wrong way to this. Only honesty. Good bloggers are the ones who put a little of themselves in their work.

Bett and I with our gracious host, Greeka Kouzina Owner, Kacy Chua. (Thank you, Ms. Chua!)

"The sweet nutty taste blends perfectly with the sour note of the lemon lime syrup." --- is what I would say if I were a sophisticated food blogger. But I'm not, really. Honestly, I wasn't even really able to pay attention to the food's finer details of the food. I was just lost in eating. And THIS, I think, is a HUGE testament to how good Greeka Kouzina's food was! I truly enjoyed all of the dishes, even though half the time, I didn't know what I was eating.

Coz let's face it, Greek food isn't exactly mainstream here in the Philippines. When someone says greek food, what comes to your mind? Kebabs? Middle Eastern. Gyros? To a few, maybe. Cyma? Yup, the ONE Greek place we all know.

But if one day you're feeling adventurous, Greeka Kouzina offers a wide variety of food that are both unique, unbearably sumptuous AND healthy! We got to taste a number of their dishes, and if my photos don't wet your appetite, I don't know what will!

(I'll save myself the trouble of describing how good the food was 'coz they were ALL GOOD! Especially the MEAT! And the RICE dishes! Oh, and lest I forget, the servings were pretty generous!)

The interiors of the San Juan branch

The first Greeka Kouzina is located in San Juan while another branch opened last December at BGC's SM Aura. They're  set to open 2 more branches at Kapitolyo and Banawe. They're all company owned. Why? Because Greeka Kouzina wants to maintain their food's very high quality. They're absolutely dedicated to giving their diners the best Greek cuisine experience possible!

Once the next 2 branches open, they'll be accessible to almost anyone in Manila! When they do, visit them. It'd be a crime not to taste their wonderful and exciting food! Greeka Kouzina's cuisine is a spectacular celebration of tastes! Opa!
